- Professional membership – On passing the exam, you can become an associate or full member of (ISC)2. To qualify fully, you need five years of paid work experience in one of the eight domains.
- Four-hour exam – The exam in English using the CAT (computer adaptive testing) system takes 3–4 hours, and comprises 100–150 questions. A minimum score of 700 out of 1,000 points is needed to pass.
Fast facts about CCSP
- Highly sought after – Demand for Cloud security specialists with CCSP has risen sharply since 2020.
- Niche expertise – CCSP gives you current, detailed knowledge of managing Cloud infrastructure and is a specialist qualification, compared to the more generalist CISSP.
- Fast growing – CCSP is the fastest-growing (ISC)2 certification and it does not preclude you from taking CISSP: you will earn 40 CPD points towards CISSP by obtaining CCSP.
- Professional membership – On passing the exam, you can become an associate or full member of (ISC)2. To qualify fully, you need five years of paid work experience in IT, including three in information security and one year in one of the six domains of CCSP.
- Vendor agnostic – CCSP does not focus on any one infrastructure vendor and can support vendor-specific certifications, should these be important to you.
- DOD recognised – CCSP meets the requirements of the US Department of Defense Directive 8570.1 and is a prized certification for DOD employees in cyber security roles.
- Four-hour exam – A score of 700 out of 1,000 points is needed to pass the multiple-choice exam in English.
