Under Article 27 of the GDPR (both EU and UK), organisations that offer goods and services to, or monitor the behaviour of, EU or UK data subjects but do not have a physical presence there, need to appoint a representative based in the EU or UK to handle communications with data subjects and supervisory authorities.
