Ely, UK – 14 September 2026 – Cyber attacks are a routine business risk for UK organisations, with more than 600,000 businesses experiencing a cyber security breach or attack in the past 12 months, according to the latest UK Government Cyber Security Breaches Survey.

While organisations continue to invest in measures to protect against cyber attacks, the scale and disruption caused by incidents highlights the need to be ready to respond when preventive controls are breached.

Against this backdrop, GRC Solutions has partnered with CYPFER, a global recovery-focused incident response specialist, to launch a new 24/7 cyber incident response service, giving organisations access to specialist support when a cyber attack occurs.

The service is designed to help organisations contain threats, understand what has happened, restore operations and recover as quickly as possible following incidents including ransomware attacks, data breaches, Cloud compromise and email attacks.

When prevention isn’t enough

The latest government survey found that 43% of UK businesses experienced a cyber security breach or attack in the previous 12 months. Phishing remained the most common type of attack, experienced by 38% of businesses, while 69% of businesses that experienced a breach or attack considered phishing the most disruptive type of incident.

The findings highlight an important challenge for organisations: cyber security is not simply about defending your organisation from attacks. Businesses also need to consider how they will respond when an incident occurs, who will take responsibility and whether they have access to the specialist expertise needed to recover.

Having an incident response plan in place can help organisations make critical decisions under pressure, reduce disruption and accelerate recovery.

Specialist incident response, available 24/7

Through its partnership with CYPFER, GRC Solutions gives customers access to specialist incident response support around the clock.

CYPFER’s recovery-first approach supports organisations throughout an incident, from initial containment and investigation through to recovery and restoration. Its teams provide remote and on-site support across the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America and beyond.

From defence to response

Incident response is one part of a wider approach to cyber resilience. Organisations can also take practical steps to reduce their exposure to common attacks and identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited.

The new service expands GRC Solutions’ broader cyber security offering, which includes Cyber Essentials certification, penetration testing and cyber risk monitoring.

This gives organisations access to comprehensive support across the cyber security lifecycle, from strengthening security controls and identifying vulnerabilities to monitoring cyber risk and responding effectively when incidents occur.

Sophie Sayer, Channel Sales Director at GRC Solutions said:

“The latest figures show that cyber attacks are not an exceptional risk for businesses any more, but something organisations need to be prepared for.

“While prevention remains critical, no organisation can assume that every attack will be stopped. Having a clear response plan and access to specialist expertise can make a significant difference to how quickly a business can contain an incident and recover.

“Our partnership with CYPFER means we can give customers access to dedicated 24/7 incident response capability, alongside the wider cyber security services we already provide to help organisations reduce their risk in the first place.”
